I am a successful professional engineer.
I am no fool.
I am a Christian, a reformed Protestant. I have come through skepticism and doubt and pain to believe in God and His grace. I am a fundamentalist, but not a literalist.
I grew up in a strict Catholic family in a small town in the Rockies.
I am a lesbian.
I knew from an early age. I did not act on it. I fought it by having sex with men. In my early 20s, I became so disgusted with myself that I became celibate.
In my early 30s, with the aid of a compassionate minister, I reconciled to my self. But I stayed in the closet and did not act on my orientation.
In August 2014, I met my Love. She is the only woman I have ever dated. She is the only woman I have ever kissed.
In March 2015, I moved to New York City.
In May, 2015, my Love proposed marriage and I accepted. We married in August, 2016, at her family’s ranch.
I believe that my love of a woman is no sin.
I believe in the traditional values of family, straight or gay.
Thank you for the follow of my blog. I look forward to reading more of your posts. Peace.

Thank you. You have one of the most thoughtful blogs I’ve seen. My Love tells me that our first trip together has to be to Taiwan, so that I can visit the National Palace Museum.

Thanks for the follow. I, too, am a Christian. That’s where we diverge. I’m a straight male who writes for a friend, Z. She’s the first person I go to for Christian prayer. I also happen to agree, I do not think that being gay is a sin. It’s just the way you’re made. Anyway, I write to try to make the world a better place for her…and the random different bit but, usually for her. Since that’s my goal, every follow helps, thanks for yours.

I’m going to take both of you up on this when I get a few minutes. In true engineering fashion, however, I’m going to bend the rules a little …

Whatever gets you through, that’s my point of view. While I am not a Christian—a Pagan if anything, believing in the divinity of all natural things—I value kindness, honesty and wisdom. You display them all.
